Assembly on the crane began on October 11! After pouring the west slab for Cathedral High School, the future site of the gym, kitchen, locker rooms, lecture hall and two classrooms, trucks began to deliver various parts of the crane system. On the morning of October 12, the crane extended and relocated closer to the gym area. We are expecting a steel delivery this week and will see the beginning structure for our gym and west wing soon!
On October 9, we celebrate the memorial of St. John Henry Newman, the patron saint of Cathedral High School. He is our spiritual father and intercessor, and October 9 was yet another day to entrust our project to his patronage. Ordinarily, the day a saint died is selected for the saint’s remembrance each year on the liturgical calendar. However, for our patron saint, the day of his conversion to Catholicism is the day we remember him each year. How beautiful for a saint of the Ordinariate patrimony that we celebrate his conversion to the one true faith! May he pray for us and for Cathedral High School.
