Erika Caldera earned her Bachelor of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University and would teach Spanish in Catholic High Schools for the next 13 years. While a native Houstonian, she spent her summers in Venezuela, the birthplace of her mother. After sensing a call into counseling, she pursued her Master of Education in Counselor Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.
She is honored and overjoyed to serve Cathedral High School students and families as the College and Vocations Counselor. Besides educational mentorship, she also loves the ballet, Latin American poetry, penguins, and traveling with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. The Calderas are parishioners at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
