Dr. Francisco E. Plaza is the Catholic Culture teacher at Cathedral High School. He earned his doctorate in Philosophy at the Center for Thomistic Studies, and he received a bachelor’s degree in both Philosophy and Mathematics from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Dr. Plaza is particularly suited for his role at CHS because he specializes in political philosophy and even wrote his dissertation on Catholic culture, or more specifically, on Jacques Maritain’s philosophy of culture, as it pertains to modernity and the renewal of Catholic culture in a postmodern era. During his graduate career, Dr. Plaza taught for several years at both the undergraduate and high school levels, primarily in Philosophy. Dr. Plaza is a parishioner at Our Lady of Walsingham and a member of the Ordinariate along with his wife, Allison, and their three daughters, Amber, Olivia, and Eva.
