Mr. Ruben Gilbert, Director of Admissions

A father of 2 and amateur Batman impersonator (much to his wife’s chagrin) Ruben Gilbert comes to Cathedral as the Director of Admissions. Having graduated with a B.A. in Theology and Catechetics and a minor in philosophy from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Mr. Gilbert has spent the past 7 years in Catholic education teaching theology. In 2024, Mr. Gilbert is slated to complete a dual M.A. in both theology and philosophy with the University of Saint Thomas. Mr. Gilbert also acts as subdeacon for the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham. In his spare time Mr. Gilbert can be found reading the latest Batman comic or Boethius, spending time with his family, or watching his favorite horror movies. He is pleased to serve at Cathedral with such a distinguished faculty, staff, and student body.
